What is a curriculum?

The curriculum is a set of rules: the legal foundation for your study programme. It the scribes the study programme’s academic content, rules and exam requirements which apply to you as a student.

As a student, you are responsible for staying updated on current rules applying to the curriculum in which you are enrolled.

In the curriculum you can find:

In the curriculum you can find:

  • admission requirements for the study programme
  • the purpose of the education and a description of the knowledge, skills, and competencies you acquire during the education
  • an overview of the study programme’s structure
  • the general rules applying to you as a student

… and much more.

What is the difference between the programme’s curriculum and webpage?

The curriculum is a legally binding document; the webpage is not.

The webpage contains parts of the information from the curriculum and other content, which may be relevant to you when choosing an education.

What is the common part of the curriculum?

Your curriculum may consist of several parts for instance both:

  • a programme specific curriculum
  • a common part of the curriculum which apply to all students at your faculty

It is important that you consider all aspects as together they are the legal foundation for your degree.

If your faculty has a common part, you can find it at the bottom of the page where you find your programme specific curriculum.
