The Fulbright Scholarship is a prestigious international exchange programme from the US Government that offers US students the opportunity to study or conduct research at universities around the world, including UCPH. It promotes academic excellence and allows students to experience new educational systems and cultures.

You can apply for a Fulbright Scholarship as a guest student and as a Full degree student at UCPH.

To apply to UCPH as a Fulbright short-stay student (e.g. to study 1-2 semesters), you must first receive a letter of affiliation from UCPH (e.g. from a professor at UCPH). You will be accepted as a Fulbright student if you receive a Fulbright scholarship.

If you would like an invitation to apply and to complete an online application as a Fulbright short-stay student, please write to us at incomingmobility@adm.ku.dk. We will then send you a link to your online application.

IMPORTANT! It is not possible for Fulbright students to participate in research projects at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. However, you are welcome to apply for courses at the faculty provided you fulfil the academic requirements.

Required documents

As part of the application process, you will need to upload the following documents:

• An official up-to-date transcript of all degree-level studies
• Proof of citizenship (e.g. photo page of your passport)
• Letter of affiliation from UCPH (e.g. the letter of affiliation you received from a professor at UCPH)
• Letter from Fulbright confirming your Fulbright scholarship
• Proof of English proficiency

Native English speakers and students enrolled on an English-taught bachelor or master programme in a country where English is an official language must submit a copy of their academic transcript (or, if necessary, upper secondary school diploma) as proof of English proficiency.

• TOEFL iBT (incl. 鈥渁t home鈥� version): 83 (with a minimum of Reading: 19; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 24)
• IELTS Academic test: 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in each category)
• Cambridge English C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency: minimum score 180
• Students who are enrolled in or have passed an English-taught bachelor or master programme in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or USA must submit a copy of their academic transcript as proof of English proficiency.
• Students who have passed an English-taught upper-secondary education in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or USA must submit a copy of their academic transcript as proof of English proficiency. 

IMPORTANT

• TOEFL and IELTS results must be valid (i.e., taken within 2 years of the application deadline).
• We do not accept other forms of test, including institutional TOEFL tests (ITP).
• We do not accept TOEFL MyBest scores.

Letter of admission

If you are accepted by the department and you are granted a Fulbright scholarship, you will receive a letter of admission from UCPH and an application for a residence permit for studies in Denmark.

You will need to reach out to faculty members at your relevant department. It is your own responsibility to find a contact person who will work with you during your time at UCPH.

Are you planning to complete a full master鈥檚 degree at UCPH?

A student enrolled as a Fulbright short-stay student (1 or 2 semesters) at UCPH is exempt from paying tuition fees if she or he is awarded a Fulbright scholarship.

Fulbright students admitted for a full master鈥檚 degree You will have to pay a tuition fee. 

You will have to pay a tuition fee if you are studying as a full-degree master's student. 

It is your own responsibility to find a contact person at the relevant department at UCPH. You need to find a contact person who will work with you during your time at UCPH. 

The Fulbright Foundation requires a letter of affiliation. Please reach out to your contact person at the relevant department to sign the letter of affiliation.

The International 大秀视频 at UCPH cannot sign your letter of affiliation.

GDPR

Remember never to share personal documents such as transcripts from non-secure e-mail addresses. Please use a secure file-sharing service such as DropBox or WeTransfer when you have to send your documentation to your contact person at the department.
